【蝗害】エチオピアで四半世紀ぶり大発生している「バッタ」の大群の影響で、深刻な食糧危機に陥る

アフリカ東部のエチオピアでは、過去25年間で最悪といわれている蝗害が現在も続いており、バッタの大群に農作物を食い荒らされた農家たちが悲鳴を上げている。

今年、アフリカ東部で大発生したサバクトビバッタの大群は農作物を食い荒らしながら移動。アフリカ北東部から中東、パキスタンへ渡り、今年6月末にはインドまで飛来した。
