中国・北京市で22日、6月の気温としては過去60年超で最高の41.1度が記録された。同市は現在、長引く熱波に見舞われており、月末まで高温が続く見込みだ。
当局によると、北京の22日の気温は、統計が始まった1961年以降、6月としては最も高かった。市北部では41.8度が計測された。
中国では今年、月の最高気温が何度か更新されており、エネルギー危機が懸念されている。
