【2月20日 AFP】インドネシア・ジャワ（Java）島付近の島の浜辺に、クジラの仲間のコビレゴンドウ少なくとも49頭が漂着し、救出活動により3頭は助かったものの、46頭が死んだ。地元関係者らが19日、明らかにした。
漂着したコビレゴンドウは体長3～5メートルで、18日にマドゥラ（Madura）島の浜辺に打ち上げられ始めた。周囲に大勢が集まる中、クジラを海に押し戻す救出作戦が始まったが、結局生き残ったのはわずか3頭だった。
